  1. My money saving tip works through out the year. Basically I go through the toy section everytime my hubby gets paid and if I see a good deal on clearance I pick it up. This way I stock up for birthdays and Christmas and with 3 kids it's makes it less of a financial burden at once

My best money saving tip is to plan your weekly menu based on what is on sale at the grocery store. One week we might be eating steak and fish; the next week we might be eating chicken and pork.

I do not have an extra freezer and only buy groceries one week at a time. I think most households shop this way.

    Thank you for the giveaway,

  4. I am already a follower!

My best Money Saving tip is to freeze all leftovers. I'm not a leftover person, but if I freeze it I'm fine taking it out again in 2 weeks to eat. I just don't like that I have to eat it within 3 days when it's in the fridge.
    There's no waste!

To save money, I always go to the stores with a list and I never buy anything that is not on the list. I search online for discounts and coupons before going too.

My best savings tip is to involve your kids in household costs. Once they realize it costs money to leave on lights, TV's etc... they may be more willing to conserve energy to help lower bills.

  9. I followed your blog with Google Friend Connect (Deborah). My best money saving tip is to grow your own! I mean fruits and veggies and herbs! Freeze, dry or can the fruits (and veggies) of your labor to enjoy year-round. Even in the winter you can grow...I have five pots of herbs going in our breakfast nook. asthenight at gmail dot com

  12. I'm a GFC follower :) My best tip is to use coupons, promo codes online, and buy in bulk when something is on sale. If you want to make a big purchase, wait a week and if you still want it, then go ahead! Usually, you'll change your mind on a purchase if you give it some thought.

My best money saving tip is to shop garage sales for kids clothes. My kids have so many clothes that I buy for usually $1 each and they are all in fantastic shape.

My best tip for saving money would be to make thrift stores and flea markets your first stop before going to retail or department stores - you can find a surprising number of items, some still unused and in the box or with the tags still on - and you often are helping out your community in the process, which is priceless!

Always cook enough for two meals. I love leftovers for lunch the next day. It saves so much money not to go out for fast food.

  18. Pay yourself first. It stings at first, but once you get used to it, you don't even notice and it really comes in handy. If it's too hard to do it on your own, have a direct deposit amount taken from your check and put into your separate account each payday.

Teach your kids to pay themselves first too, by having them save from the beginning...then it'll be like second-nature for them when they are really earning money.

  19. Most of my best tips have already been mentioned so here is a little one: Repurpose. Everything from sweaters with holes or old towels to pickle jars can be reused for all sorts of things - food storage, stuffing for a throw pillow...before throwing anything away, think about how you might be able to use it somewhere else instead of buying something new.

  20. Follow through GFC (Peace Love and Pets) My best tip is always make a list, spend an hour going over all the newspaper inserts for coupons and online at all the coupon sites. Organize your coupons, go to the stores with the items on your list on sale, find stores that will double your coupons. All these things , mainly being as organized as possible, will help you save
